Nike
Nike has been accused of using child labor in China, where they employ children who are working 12 hour shifts for as little as 16 cents per hour. This means they get paid $6.92 per week and $358.84 per year. Most of the people that work in these factories in China are 17 to 30 years old, however some workers are as young as 12 years old.

Gap
In 2006, Gap had 23 factories. In these factories, kids as young as 10 years old are working 16 hours per day making Gap clothing for little to no pay. The children in these factories were creating hand stitched blouses that would be sent to the United States and Europe, and would later be sold in Kids Gap stores. Gap was also accused of using child labor in 2000 where there were young girls producing Gap products in factories located in Cambodia.

Walmart
Walmart has factories in China and Nicaragua that produce most of the clothes sold in Walmart stores. People working in these factories work for at least 10 hours per day, seven days a week, and get paid as low 12 cents per hour. Walmart has been fined about $200,000 for violating 1,436 child labor laws. In 2005, Walmart broke 24 child labor laws in stores in Arkansas, New Hampshire, and Connecticut and was fined $135,540. Teenage employees under the age of 18 were doing hazardous work using chain saws, paper bailers, and fork lifts.
